With the new semester starting it seems like I have so many new and exciting things to look forward too. That being said, I know that wanting to do all these things is going to take a large chunk of time out of my average day. And honestly, if all of that work wasn’t for Theater Westminster, I’m not sure I would do it. There is just something about this space and these people that make me feel at home.

Terry has always hammered into my mind ( along with every other student he has had) that Theater is collaborative effort, and it truly is. Over the summer I had the chance to work with a lot of good people when I participated in Grease. During the rehearsal process I took the chance to collaborate as an actor not only with the director, but also with the technical director, the sound technician, and my fellow actors.

And I love this about theater. It allows everyone to have a say. Anyone, no matter how ,much experience in theater you have has a different point of view. Someone can offer a new perspective that can change your own outlook. I can remember countless times when a fellow employee has shown me something different that has dramatically changed my decisions.

Anyway, as I have said before, I am so excited to be able to work with all these great people who are a part of Theatre Westminster this year. These upcoming shows are very well written and are being directed by some of the best directors I have ever had a chance to work with. I look forward to being able to collaborate and share my experiences with them, while also learning a lot in the process. And that what theater (and school) is all about.

A Clean Shop

A clean shop is a happy shop.

So here is too a new year full of excitement , passion, hard work, and exquisite theater.
