Opening of Northanger Abbey

The week we have all been waiting for is finally here. The show Northanger Abbey is open and all our hard work is done. The props are made, the scenes are painted and the stage is set. I am extremely excited to see all of the work the shop employees and myself have put into the show come to life. Now all that is left to do is sit back and watch an incredible performance by my fellow Westminster students.

Taking Pride in Hard Work

As we get closer and closer to the week of the show, I can’t help but feel a sense of pride. To know that I helped create what the audience will see on the stage is a wonderful feeling. However, there is still much to be done and that means that we will all have to work a little harder if we hope to finish in time.

Building the Set

This week in my theatre practicum I learned a few new skills. It’s amazing how much you can learn working in the theatre. I learned how to create trim and how to set up a hanging flat. No matter how many hours I put into working in the theatre I am always surprised by how amazing Theatre Westminster is at creating a show.
